French Advanced Podcasts Series

Bonjour et bienvenue to FRENCH ETC.  (www.frenchetc.org)

France is slightly impatient today, as she is waiting for her roommate to get ready so they can go to work on time. She uses tons of colloquial expressions and we’ll use her monolog to go over daily routine vocabulary, from morning to night, and we’ll review spatial prepositions such as among and underneath in the grammar worksheet that comes with this podcast. We’ll also clarify the agreement of passé composé. For instance, did you know that Elle s’est lavée requires an extra E at the end, but Elle s’est lavé les dents may not have an extra E at the end. The culture capsule explains the three uses of FAIRE, FICHER AND FOUTRE which range from proper French to pretty offensive.

FRENCH ETC.’s podcasts teach you today’s French, the way it’s spoken on the streets of Paris, with authentic useful expressions you can use right away so that you can understand French and be understood over there.
