bader is a new word in French. It probably comes from the English expression a bad trip. Nowadays, bader means to stress out in familiar French.
- « Elle bade : elle a eu un 2/20 en anglais et ses parents [ne] sont pas encore au courant. »
- “She’s stressing out: she got an F in English and her parents don’t know yet.”
présent : je bade, nous badons
passé composé : j’ai badé, nous avons badé
futur : je baderai, nous baderons
There are many other expressions you probably won’t find in your textbook on the Web site. Venez nous voir.
That was Anne’s native take on a French expression. Bonne journée française.
