un beurgeois, une beurgeoise

un beurgeois, une beurgeoise and la beurgeoisie are three new French words. They come from two words:  beur – Verlan slang for Arabe – and bourgeoisie or bourgeois – middle-class, middle-class person. Un beurgeois is a a second generation middle-class person, mostly from North-African origins.

« La beurgeoisie est une classe montante en France. »
“The beurgeoisie class is rising in France. ”

That was Anne’s native take on a French expression. Bonne journée française.
