• The rules are pretty straight forward: take the verb at the infinitive and add the following endings:

• je/j’ …… aimer — -ai
• tu  …….. aimer — – as
• elle …… aimer — -a
• il ………. aimer — -a
• on ……. aimer — -a
• nous …. aimer — -ons
• vous ….. aimer — -ez
• ils ……… aimer — -ont
• elles ….. aimer — -ont

In context

• I will like Paris.  …………… J’aimerai Paris.
• We will love Paris. ……….. Nous aimerons Paris.
• ………………………………. On aimera Paris.

-RE VERBS

Verbs ending in –re, such as prendre: drop the final –e

pronoun — Infinitive without -e — ending

• je/j’ — prendr- — -ai
• nous — prendr- — -ons
