coincer la bulle

coincer la bulle: un coin is a corner, coincer means to stick something in the corner, la bulle is the bubble. So coincer la bulle is to stick the bubble in the corner. This is an idiomatic expression that means taking it easy, not do anything in particular, relaxing.

« Je fous rien samedi. Je coince la bulle, c’est tout. »
“I’m not doing a darn thing on Saturday. I’m taking it easy, that’s it.”

présent : je coince la bulle, nous coinçons la bulle

passé composé : j’ai coincé la bulle, nous avons coincé la bulle

futur : je coincerai la bulle, nous coincerons la bulle

There is a whole bunch of idiomatic expressions in the Vocabulary Section. Venez nous voir.

That was Anne’s native take on a French expression. Bonne journée française.
