[7] French people often used the English word as well: le stress, stressé, stressée

[8] souffrance and douleur both apply to suffering as a noun. The adjectives are more specific.

[9] douloureux and douloureuse also exist, but only as an object. A wound can be douloureux person can not be douloureux
